Sunday Funnies 2012.01.01

It's traditional to begin the New Year by making resolutions. Most are well-intentioned, but difficult to achieve. Here's a few more realistic ones.

I don't believe in New Year resolutions because every day is a great day to begin a good idea, and the holidays are a BAD time to resolve to lose weight, save money, read books, etc.

I started my New Year though by going for a run. I also ran on December 31 and will run again tomorrow. I can't say whether I will keep it up once I go back to work.

I wanted to start things off right, and today I got a ticket for running a red light because some dumb broad on a bike lurched out in front of me while I was in the intersection.

Great start...to my anarchist revolution.

CTT,

Speaking of funnies how about getting some 1960's Al Capp (Lil Abner) political cartoons. They really ripped the Liberals and hippies of the Vietnam era.

I cut a bunch out 45-years ago and tried to save them but after a lot of moves they disappeared.

They'd depict the Occupy Wall Street morons perfectly.........

Dirty, demanding welfare and violent!

NFO - I'm still saddened by the decision of Bill Watterson (the creator of C&H) to stop the strip.

BragonDorn - Thanks.

Nick - Off the establishment! Power to the People!

TJ - L'il Abner and Pogo were two strips that the older I got, the more I appreciated them. I have an old VHS tape of the movie L'il Abner (based on the Broadway musical) that I still watch every now and then. Good stuff.
