Differences Between Conservatives And Liberals

There are many differences between conservatives and liberals, of course. One of the most fundamental is that liberals want to help people by taking money from one segment of the population and giving it to another. In the liberal worldview, this is done by the government.

Conservatives, on the other hand, prefer to help those in need directly, by either contributing money or time, or both.

Evidence? Take a look at the following two charts.

The Politics of Giving

Red = Republican          Blue = Democrat

Money isn't the only measure of charity. People donate their time as well. Once again, there is a distinct difference between volunteerism between parties.

Volunteer Rates by Political Party

Democrats talk the talk. Republicans walk the walk.
